Carlos is a technologist, forensic examiner, and educator with more than fifteen years working in legal technology, digital forensics, and eDiscovery.
He is an attorney and a member of The Florida Bar — though LTD is a consulting practice, not a law firm, and his work addresses the technology underneath a matter, not its legal merits.
He founded Legal Tech Dynamics to do the work that increasingly falls between the cracks — the engagements where what's at stake is not the legal question itself, but the technology underneath it. Digital evidence that needs to be well-documented. Productions that need to be traceable. AI tools that need to be governed before they create risk.
Through LTD, Carlos serves as a technology consultant to law firms, corporate legal departments, and businesses navigating the technical demands of modern disputes, internal investigations, and information governance. His work spans forensic acquisition and analysis, eDiscovery strategy and execution, AI governance, and the focused TRACE™ assessment that scopes technology risk before commitments are made.
He has taught legal studies and digital forensics at the university level for over a decade and is the author of the forthcoming book AI for Legal Practice: A Practical Guide to Tools, Risk, and Professional Responsibility (2026).
He hosts The Virtual Jurist, a podcast and video series on legal technology, eDiscovery, and the practical realities of AI in practice.
